Basic
concept |
|
Since the concept of the intelligent network system
was put forward in 1980, the system has made rapid development
by upgrading its technology and implementing standardization.
Foreign telecom networks have applied the technology,
which help finish the construction, maintenance and
operation of new services of telecom with a kind of
brand-new way. So far, it has brought remarkable economic
benefits.
The concept of the intelligent network originated
from U.S.A. At that time, AT&T Company offered 800#
(free call) and 200# (account card) services by the
means of integrated data store. Later, International
Telecom Union ITU-T announced Q.1200 series suggestions,
i.e., intelligent network capacity set 1 (CS-1), and
named intelligent network formally. Intelligent network
is a kind of additional network structure so as to offer
telecom new services quickly, conveniently and economically
based on the basic network structure of existing exchange
and transmission. It can be seen, the purpose of IN
is to offer new services.
Outstanding merit that intelligent network offers
the new services is that it can accomplish the new services
quickly, economically and conveniently. The generation
of a new service only needs a few months. This not only
means the great reduction of development investment,
but also can open the new services to users in advance,
which can regain a large number of funds early, raise
the utilization ratio of the network and strengthen
intelligentization of the network. Due to the restriction
of standard model of intelligent network technology,
the system can be realized independent of new services
that will generate, and the interconnection of products
can be supported by standard communication protocol,
thus the basic conditions for offering new services
fast has been provided. Furthermore, the peculiar systems
structure of intelligent networks is an inherent term
of offering new services fast. Therefore, we should
say that the way that intelligent network provides new
services is essentially different from other ways.

SMP: Service Management Point. In conformity
to service subscriber parameters, storage, management
statistical data, management service data, and service
subscriber data.
SMAP: Service Management Access Point. Terminal
unit of realizing management function by the access
of SMP.
SCP: Service Control Point. Concentrate all
functions and data of real-time control intelligent
service call
SDP: Service Data Point. Responsible for intelligent
network data processing.
IP: Independent Peripherals, also called Intelligent
Peripherals. Produce voice prompt and provide other
resources of service processing.
SSP: Service Switching Point. Trigger intelligent
network service in the switching network.
SCE: Service Creation Environment. Realize
service creation and edition by employing SIB.
Other equipments: Include INES, CDR and other
systems related to intelligent network.
